Helping to get our community back to work
The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Montgomery County along with PA CareerLink will be hosting a job fair on Thursday, September 23rd, 12-5pm at Montgomery Mall in North Wales to showcase the many employment opportunities in the area.
With the end of federal benefits, the increase in help wanted signs and local businesses adjusting their hours to accommodate the lack of employees, it was the perfect time to organize this event.
To-date there are 85 companies registered, covering a wide variety of industries including education, healthcare, professional services, hospitality and manufacturing. The jobs available range from different levels education and training requirements. Several of the well-known companies participating include, Wawa, Valley Forge Casino & Resort, Asher’s Chocolates, Jefferson Health, HR Block and BJ’s Wholesale Club. The full list of exhibitors is available on this link.
Part of the Chamber’s mission is to enhance the health of the business community and PA CareerLink, an initiative of the PA Department of Labor & Industry, helps job seekers find family sustaining jobs and employers find the skilled workers they need. Working together to promote the job fair is a great use of both organization’s resources.
There is no charge for job seekers to attend and pre-registration is not required. More information is available on the Chamber’s website, www.chambergmc.org.
