Committees
We offer many ways to make connections and one of them is to serve on a committee. This is your opportunity to truly get involved and help shape the future of the community where you live, work and play.
Ambassador Committee:
Ambassadors serve as advocates of the Chamber; they are an extension of the team. It is open to all members of The Chamber that do not hold a similar role with other organizations. They will attend ribbon cuttings, grand openings and welcome attendees at events.
Business with a Purpose Committee:
The committee assists chamber staff with the volunteer network of young professionals that work with local nonprofits to further their missions. Committee members organize volunteer and donation events, and recruit fellow Chamber members to donate their time and services to nonprofits pro bono.
Chamber Inclusion Council:
The Council will help to promote an inclusive chamber, where all businesses feel valued and supported, and to increase a sense of belonging.
Events Committee:
The Committee assists chamber staff in the development of new, engaging networking events and support the marketing and promotions of existing signature events with planning and sponsorships.
Golf Outing Committee:
Members will assist in the planning of The Chamber’s Annual Golf Outing and will be expected to generate sponsorships and a golf foursome.
Government Affairs Committee:
Members will coordinate events with local and state government and elected officials. In addition, they will discuss advocacy and policy issues important to business leaders.
Leadership Committee:
The Committee is responsible for developing single day and extensive training sessions for board development for both the individual looking to join a board or for nonprofit organizations to engage their current boards.
Membership Committee:
Members are appointed by The Chamber Board. Committee members will take an active role in recruiting and welcoming new members, fill a mentor role where needed to assist new members in finding their place in The Chamber. Committee members must be active for at least one year and not be engaged in a similar role for another organization.
Nonprofit Council:
The Nonprofit Council is open to chamber member nonprofit organizations for networking, learning and collaborative opportunities. Each meeting will include a topic driven discussion on issues facing nonprofits.
Power Your Potential Committee:
Assist in the planning of the regions annual Power Your Potential Montgomery County Conference.
President’s Advisory Council:
Appointed by the president to assist in moving The Chamber forward by implementing our strategic plan. Discussion includes program development, geographic growth/partnerships, member value proposition. Meetings are held quarterly.
Veterans and Military Committee:
The Committee considers ways the Chamber might support veterans in our community, our workforce and as entrepreneurs, as well as to provide opportunities to veterans for personal and professional development.
